Police Search for Man Who Committed Sexual Battery in Monrovia

Two incidents of sexual battery with similar circumstances were reported in Monrovia on Wednesday, according to police.

Around 9 a.m. a male approached a woman walking in the 700 block of S. Fifth Avenue (map) and hugged her tightly before slapping her buttocks and leaving on a skateboard, a Monrovia Police Department press release stated.

During the second incident, around 4:50 p.m. in the 800 block of W. Chestnut Avenue (map) a male grabbed another woman’s breasts, commented on their size and kicked her in the leg before leaving on a skateboard.

No injuries were reported in either incident, the release stated.

Both victims described the male as 16 to 20 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, and wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and dark pants, the release stated.

Monrovia Police Department asked that anyone with information about the incidents contact them.
