The Walk for Kids fundraising events Sunday morning benefitted the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California.

The Ronald McDonald House was “committed to providing comfort, care and support to children and families in Southern California through a variety of wellness and educational programs,” according to its website.

The Walk for Kids charity event was a 5K held in five locations, including Los Angeles, Ontario, Orange County, and Long Beach, meant to raise funds for the program.

The charity helps families of seriously ill children as well as offers a camp for kids with cancer, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Vincent Bryson said.

“The hallmark of the Ronald McDonald House is we’re always right across the street from children hospital,” Bryson said. “We put those families in an environment where they’re surrounded with people who were in a situation just like them.”
