A blood drive was scheduled to be held Monday for the LAPD motorcycle officer who was critically injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Sun Valley over the weekend involving a suspected DUI driver.

The officer, a 26-year-veteran whose identity has not yet been released, remained hospitalized at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills. He was expected to undergo a third surgery for his injuries on Monday.

The blood drive for the injured officer was scheduled to take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday at the hospital, which is located at 15031 Rinaldi Street in Mission Hills (map).

One of the drivers involved in the crash — Qaneak Cobb, 33, of Pacoima — was arrested Saturday for felony DUI drugs, according to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department that was released Sunday. Cobb was booked at Van Nuys Jail and was being held on $185,000 bail.
