Around 2:50 a.m. the West Covina Police Department received calls from residents reporting “random” gunshots coming from a home, Lt. Jerry Pearman said.

The home was located in the 1900 block of E. Cortez Street (map).

The shots were directed from one home to another and one round made it into the other home, Pearman said.

An individual remained inside the home where gunshots had been fired and police and SWAT continued to try to remove them from the home, Pearman said.
