Alcoholism Implant with Naltrexone
Actor, Jeremy Miller and Dr. George Fallieras joined us live to discuss a specially compounded drug that is being implanted inside people suffering with alcoholism. Every year $22 billion is spent on alcohol treatment in the US. A California company is set to gain a significant share of the market with a groundbreaking treatment program. It’s part of a revolutionary recovery program developed by BioCorRX Inc.
The Start Fresh Program has two components: the proprietary implant of the FDA-approved drug naltrexone and custom-made life coaching program. The implant is placed inside the right lower abdomen where the drug is slowly released over a number of months, and lasts for over a year. Furthermore, once the implant has dissolved, a vast majority of patients are pleased to discover that their physical cravings for alcohol continue to remain greatly reduced or even eliminated. BioCorRx also owns a life-coaching program that is tailored specifically to substance abuse addicts. Once a patient has received the implant, they are encouraged to enter the life-coaching program to maximize results.
In the US the implant has been used on 300 patients to date. In Australia it has been used on thousands over the last 7 or so years. Success rates in the US are above 85%, so over 255 patients have been successful. It’s important to note that these success rates are higher when people complete the coaching portion of the program. It’s equally as vital as the implant. The implant is only a tool to allow them to receive the teachings from the coaching. Success is generally considered after one year of sobriety. The “unsuccessful” cases are with those that do not complete the program, those that simply do not want to stop and only did the program to appease a loved one, and there is a small percentage of alcoholics that are not effected by Naltrexone. It’s rare, but does occur. Again, this is not a cure, but it’s a miracle for many. This allows addicts to be clear as they go through the program’s psychological coaching.
The Fresh Start Program is currently being used in various clinics across the country. BioCorRX intends to open a new clinic in the US every 60-90 days. Their latest announcement involves expansion into opioid treatment.
