Missing Boy Found in Claw Vending Machine Filled With Toys
A 3-year-old boy reported missing in Nebraska was later found inside a stuffed animal claw machine at a bowling alley across the street from his home.
Authorities said it appeared Kael Ireland crawled in through the vending machine’s prize door.
Patrons at Madsens Bowling and Billiards in Lincoln notified employees who had to called the vendor to get a key to open the machine, TV sttion KETV reported..
Once employees realized Kael was in the bowling alley by himself, they called police.
At the same time, Kael’s mother was frantically searching the neighborhood after calling police herself to report her son missing, the station reported.
Employees were eventually able to get Kael out and he was reunited with his frantic mother.
He even got to keep one of his new stuffed friends, according to HLN.
Police said the mother had returned from going to the bathroom to find Kael gone, HLN reported.
The mother was not cited, police said, because she notified them as soon as the boy disappeared.
