The museum is looking for volunteers to help with their work to stop the decline of the Monarch Butterfly by monitoring the Monarch Waystation at the Pavilion. This is where the California Native Milkwood is planted. It’s a Monarch Butterfly favorite, which will help the butterfly survive predators and urban habitat destruction.

Bowlarama: California Bowling Architecture 1954-1964 is a new exhibit at the Architecture and Design Museum of Los Angeles. This is a first of its kind exhibition that explores the architecture and technology that created a new kind of space-age recreation center and reinvented the sport of bowling in the 1950s.

Rarely seen photographs, drawings, and original artifacts take us back to a time when one in four Americans considered themselves bowlers, when glitzy 50-lane pleasure palaces were open 24 hours a day.
