The man was ejected from a Honda Accord after it crashed into a large pole that held the Bellflower Boulevard off-ramp sign on the 105 Freeway around 2:30 a.m., CHP Officer Greg Makel said.

The vehicle was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed when the man went up a dirt embankment and hit the pole, Makel said.

The impact caused him to be ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was the solo occupant of the vehicle, Makel said.
