Young and old continued to drop by LAPD’s Harbor Division on Monday to pay their respects to Officer Roberto Sanchez.

Sanchez was killed and his partner injured early Saturday morning in Harbor City when an SUV ran into their patrol car as they were pursuing a Camaro.

Surveillance video of the incident may shed new light on the cause of the deadly crash, including the possibility that it was not an accident.

A source told KTLA that investigators were looking into whether the occupants of the SUV and the Camaro knew one another and whether the SUV deliberately ran into the patrol car to stop it from pursuing the Camaro.

Mary Beth McDade reports for the KTLA 5 News at 10 on Monday, May 5, 2014.
