Firefighters Douse Blaze at South Los Angeles Home

Smoke could be seen rising from a home caught fire in South Los Angeles Monday morning.


The fire was reported at about 7:45 a.m. at the single-story home located in the 1400 block of West 42nd Street (map), according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Smoke could be seen rising from the roof of the home as firefighters worked to douse the flames, aerial video from Sky5 showed.

It took 32 firefighters just over 10 minutes to put out the blaze, according to Scott.

No injuries were reported in the incident, Scott said.

It was unclear what may have caused the home catch fire.
