Girl, 11, Missing From Children’s Shelter in Orange

Sheriff’s deputies were asking for the public’s help Wednesday in locating an 11-year-old girl who walked away from a children’s shelter in Orange.

Brittany Georgia Mitchell left the Orangewood Children’s Home with two other girls around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, according to a news release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Her companions returned to the Children’s Home a short time later without Mitchell, the release stated.

She was last seen at the “Outlets at Orange” located across the street from Children’s Home, according to the release.

Mitchell was also known to frequent the Anaheim area.

She was described as being 5 feet tall, weighing 110 pounds with brown hair and eyes.

Mitchell was dressed black and was wearing a sweatshirt with “CA” on the front, according to the release.
