The fire was reported at about 10:40 a.m. in the 18900 block of Laurel Park Road (map), according to Scott Miller of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Officials initially said the fire had burned 3 to 4 acres but later revised the size to 2 acres in a tweet from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Crews were battling flames as they burned up a hillside, aerial video from Sky5 showed.

A mobile home park was located not far from the fire, however no homes were initially threatened, according the fire department.

The fire came amid a red flag warning for much of Southern California due to dry, warm and windy weather conditions.

Fire crews had put out the blaze just before noon, but were expected to be “moping up” for a couple of hours, according to the fire department.

There was no immediate word of injuries or damage caused by the fire.
