The woman told investigators that it was around 10 a.m. when she noticed the man following her, according to Richard French, with LAPD Media Relations.

After a few minutes, the man started speaking to her in Spanish and then attacked her, French said.

The attacker was described as a Hispanic man between 30 and 35 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 150 pounds with short brown hair, a light complexion and a mustache.
