Taxi Crashes Into Multiple Parked Vehicles in Westlake; 1 in Custody

One person was taken into custody after a taxi struck and damaged several parked vehicles in the Westlake District of Los Angeles on Monday, police said.

The incident occurred along multiple streets, including the 200 block of Robinson Street (map), around 7 p.m.

Police received multiple reports that a taxi had hit several parked cars in the area, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Sarah Faden.

Several parked cars were damaged, and a white taxi had damage on its right side, video from the scene showed.

An unidentified person was taken into custody in connection with the incident, a desk officer with the LAPD’s West Traffic Division told KTLA.

The collisions were under investigation.
