Public’s Help Sought in Locating Elderly Woman Who Suffers from Dementia

Los Angeles police and family members were asking for the public’s help on Friday in locating a 75-year-old woman who went missing.

Hester Jones was last seen walking away from her residence in the 400 block of East Imperial (map) in the Green Meadows neighborhood of L.A., according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

She has not been seen or heard from since.

Family members are “extremely concerned” because Jones suffers from dementia, the release stated.

Jones is described as an African-American female with short gray hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 1 inches tall and weighing around 90 to 100 pounds, according to police.

Anyone who has seen Jones or has information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the LAPD at 877-527-3247. Additionally, anonymous tips can also be left by calling Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
