3.8-Magnitude Quake Hits SoCal Coast Near San Pedro

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.8 struck the coast of Southern California near San Pedro on Friday night.

The quake hit at 7:59 p.m. and was centered 11 miles south-southwest of San Pedro at a depth of 0.1 miles., according to the U.S Geological Survey.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 11 miles from Rancho Palos Verdes, 14 miles from Lomita, 14 miles from Palos Verdes Estates.

KTLA viewers reported feeling the quake in San Pedro, Echo Park, Long Beach and Culver City.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
