2 Sought in Sexual Assault in Thousand Oaks Movie Theater Bathroom

Police in Thousand Oaks released surveillance images Friday of a man wanted for sexually assaulting a woman in a movie theater restroom last week.

The assault took place on around 11:39 p.m. on May 23 at the Muvico Theatre on Hillcrest Drive, according to a release from the Thousand Oaks Police Department.

The victim told police that a man slid underneath the stall she was occupying and attacked her, the release stated.

She struggled and was eventually able to get away.

The man who assaulted her was described as Hispanic, between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall, 130 to 150 pounds with brown hair and eyes and a medium to dark complexion, according to the release.

Surveillance video showed the man leaving the theater and getting into the passenger seat of a black sedan.

The video also showed another man who was possibly with the attacker at the time.

The second man was wearing a light blue polo shirt and white shorts.

He spoke only Spanish with theater employees, and he was being considered a person of interest, police said.
