Decomposed Body Found in Car Parked at Inglewood Shopping Center

An investigation was underway Saturday evening following the discovery of a body inside a car at an Inglewood shopping center, authorities said.

Officers responded to the 3300 block of West Century Boulevard (map), just east of Hollywood Park Casino, after a caller reported a foul odor in the parking lot, according to the Inglewood Police Department.

When the officers arrived, they found the decomposed body of a male victim inside a blue Honda sedan, the Police Department said. The deceased person appeared to have been shot.

Coroner’s officials were called to the taped-off scene, which remained active as of 10 p.m.
