Police Pursuit Ends in Jefferson Park; Man in Custody

One person was in custody following a pursuit that went through Culver City, Baldwin Park and Jefferson Park on Monday morning, police said.

The pursuit ended around 10:15 a.m. when the vehicle stopped at the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Jefferson Boulevard, according to a tweet from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Division

Before stopping, the vehicle had lost a front right tire during the chase, police said.

The front portion of the car also appeared to have sustained some damage, with smoke seeping out from the area, aerial video showed.

A man described as a “suspect” was taken into custody, a tweet from the LAPD’s Wilshire Division stated.

Several officers and firefighters were at the scene as the man was standing outside a police car, according to the video.

The man had been wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Las Vegas, according to LAPD Officer Lyle Knight.
