Sean Hogan was taken into custody by Simi Valley police detectives on Sunday and booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for one count of force oral copulation, according to a news release.

Earlier that day, officers responded to the 3900 block of Cochran Street (map) to investigate a report of possible sexual child abuse, police said.

When the officers interviewed the alleged victim and her mother, the girl claimed “that a family friend and neighbor forced her to perform oral sex on him in January 2014,” the news release said.

The girl ultimately reported the allegations after the suspect, identified as Hogan, made several offers to pay the victim for performing sexual acts, according to authorities.

Hogan was being held Tuesday in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Casey Nicholson of the Simi Valley Police Department at 805-583-6961.
