Mother Booked on Suspicion of Abducting 4-Year-Old Daughter

A mother was booked for child abduction after her and the missing 4-year-old girl were located Friday morning, about 24 hours after they were reported missing, according to a Santa Ana Police Department news release.

The child’s father had sole custody of the girl and reported a possible child abduction Thursday after waking up in a hotel where he had spent the night with the 4-year-old and her mother and discovered they were gone.

Rachel Ashley Marks, 25, and the child were found in a movie theater in Victorville Friday morning, the release stated.

Marks was booked into the Santa Ana Police Department jail and the girl was returned to her father.
