An 11-year-old Tarzana girl was spending her summer vacation raising money for the Hereditary Disease Foundation.
Sarah Shapiro’s goal was to support charities that focus on cures for hereditary diseases, such as Huntington’s disease, which her aunt suffers from.
Sarah designed two T-shirts to help raise money and awareness about hereditary diseases.
They were $15 each and can be purchased on her booster website page, https://www.booster.com/slsweets.
“The best part of purchasing one is knowing that it could help save someone’s life,” Sarah wrote on her page.
In the past, Sarah has sold baked goods to raise money.
