Starbucks opened an all-day eatery that would offer beer, wine and burgers among other foods in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The reimagined version of La Boulange began when Starbucks bought its parent company Bay Bread LLC for about $100 million in 2012.

“Los Angeles has a vibrant food scene and we believe that the new La Boulange all-day concept will do well in this market,” Starbucks Spokeswoman Holly Hart Shafer said.

Menu items included granola and yogurt, open-faced sandwiches, burgers and seasonal dishes throughout the year.

Stores that serve alcohol were dubbed Starbucks Evenings. Other Southern California locations included Calabasas, Huntington Beach, the Los Angeles International Airport and Rancho Santa Margarita.

“We have no additional locations to announce at this time,” Shafer said.

The Mid-Wilshire location is at 359 S. La Brea Ave. (map).
