Brand Fire in Glendale Has Burned 150 Acres, Is 40 Percent Contained

Fire crews battled a blaze in the Glendale area that had burned 150 acres and was 40 percent contained as of Monday night, according to the city of Glendale tweet.

The fire was initially reported to be 10 acres and broke out around 12:30 p.m. Sunday near Brand Park (map), according to officials.

About 100 ground personnel were working to contain the fire, the city stated on an incident page.

No structures had burned and no evacuations were expected.

Brand Park is known for its hiking and bike trains. Three hikers were brought down from trails and treated for dehydration, two others were assisted by paramedics Sunday afternoon, according to the city.
