Blood seen coming from a doorway at a home in San Bernardino led police to two dead bodies Tuesday.

Officers were called to a home in the 1100 block of North Hancock Street (map) about 12:30 p.m., San Bernardino Police Department Lt. Rich Lawhead said.

An officer forced entry into a locked bedroom and found the bodies of two men suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a news release from police.

A handgun was located near one of the men.

One of the men was identified as 49-year-old landlord Ephraim Lincoln of Fontana, police said.

The second man, Lincoln’s tenant, remained unidentified. He was described only as a 38-year-old resident of San Bernardino.

Police believed the incident was a murder-suicide in which Lincoln killed his tenant before shooting himself, the release stated.

Anyone with information was asked to contact Detective Al Tello at 909-384-5747 or Sgt. Gary Robertson at 909-841-5361.

KTLA’s Kennedy Ryan contributed to this report.
