SigAlert Issued After Collision Near Magic Mountain; 3 People Critically Injured

Three people were critically injured after two big rigs and a box truck crashed on the 5 Freeway near Magic Mountain in Valencia on Saturday, according to CHP.

The three trucks crashed on the southbound 5 Freeway around 5:30 a.m., blocking the No. 3 and 4 lanes and Magic Mountain on-ramp, according to California Highway Patrol incident logs.

One big rig flipped on its side and three people were ejected from the trucks. Three people were critically injured and three others injuries were not immediately known, CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos said.

A SigAlert was issued and cancelled before 11 a.m., according to a CHP tweet.
