UPDATE: Twin sisters who has gone missing were located July 11, LAPD reported Monday. The girls’ names and photos have been removed from this post because they are minors.
Police were asking for help from the public in locating twin sisters who disappeared from their home on Saturday.
The girls were last seen around 8 p.m. on July 5 in the 14400 block of Lyle Street in Sylmar, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department.
Both girls walked out of the house after being confronted by their mother about their social media account, the release stated.
They were last seen in the area of Polk Street and Glenoaks Boulevard.
Their family was extremely concerned for their welfare, police said.
The girls were both described as 14 years old with brown hair and brown eyes. They stand 5 feet 5 inches tall and weigh approximately 130 pounds.
One girl was carrying a black backpack while the other was carrying a khaki colored backpack.
