Gayle Anderson was live in Costa Mesa for opening day at the Orange County Fair where the theme is, “Summer Starts Here.”
This year’s fair consists of 23 days of food, exhibits, rides, animals and shopping and runs through Sunday, August 10th. In honor of the opening day, the OC Fair offers FREE admission and parking TODAY from 12 Noon to 1 p.m.
Fairgoers can go on a culinary voyage with classics such as roasted corn, funnel cakes and turkey legs to the more exotic bacon-wrapped delicacies and new deep fried on a stick items. Foodies can attend one of the many free demonstrations and food-related contests held throughout the run of the fair.
The OC Fair also presents exhibit galleries filled with award-winning photographs, paintings, ceramics, woodworking, cakes, cookies, quilts and more displays of talent by Southern California residents. Fairgoers can also enjoy thrilling rides, carnival games, animals of all shapes and sizes and shopping for must-have gadgets and more.
OC Fairgoers can explore a variety of musical genres in the Toyota Summer Concert Series such as The Go-Gos, Bad Religion, LeAnn Rimes, The Offspring and more. Tickets are on sale online at Ticketmaster.com, any Ticketmaster outlet and the on-site Box Office at the Pacific Amphitheatre (during select days and hours.)
