Woman Sought in ‘Bank of the West’ Robbery in Chino

Police in Chino were searching for a woman who robbed a Bank of the West branch on Monday afternoon.

It happened around 1:23 p.m. at a bank in the 12000 block of Central Avenue.

The woman handed the teller a note demanding money and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a news release from the Chino Police Department. She did not use a weapon.

The robber was described as a “light-toned black woman” in her 20’s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a thin build, the release stated.

She was wearing light blue or grey hospital scrubs, sunglasses and a tan-colored knit beanie.
