Man Shot, Killed in Montclair; Police Searching For Car That Fled the Scene

The body of a man who suffered multiple gunshot wounds was discovered by police in Montclair Tuesday morning.

A man about 24 years old was pronounced dead at the scene when officers responded to the area of Exeter Avenue and San Bernardino Street (map) around 3:05 a.m., according to a Montclair Police Department news release.

Officers later learned that a red or burgundy sports car, possibly two-door, left the area at a high rate of speed after shots were fired.
