Three Shot in Park in Florence Area; Suspects at Large

At least three people were shot and wounded on Thursday evening  at Ted Watkins Memorial Park in the Florence area, authorities said.

The shootings occurred just after 7 p.m. near E. 103rd Street and Mary Avenue in the Florence-Graham area, according to Lt. Cal Gallegos of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The wounds were not considered life threatening, said Officer M. Gramillo of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The shooting appeared to be gang related, Gramillo said.  No one was in custody.
