Known as “The World’s Greatest Ski Race!” the Catalina Ski Race enjoys its 66th run today. Water skiers from around the globe come to compete. They go water skiing across 62 miles of ocean, to Avalon and back to Long Beach, finishing near the Queen Mary. The Long Beach Maya Hotel is the host hotel and headquarters for the race festivities.
