Man Sought in Attempted Kidnapping of Woman From Santa Monica Parking Garage

Police in Santa Monica were searching for a man wanted in the attempted abduction of a woman who was walking to her car in a parking garage.

It happened around 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9 in the 2200 block of Colorado Avenue, according to a news release from the Santa Monica Police Department.

The woman was able to fight off the man who then ran away, the release stated.

The attacker was described as a white man, in his late 30s to early 40s, approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall with a thin build.

He was wearing a black shirt, black baggy pants, a black baseball-style cap, black sunglasses and was carrying a black backpack.

The woman described her attacker as having a “thin” face and a “pointy” chin and nose, the release stated.
