Something new has been added to the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum in Pomona. This is the Gallery of Speed exhibition. It focuses on four historical, generational and transitional aspects of hot rodding as well as America’s affection for the automobile.

The U.S. Open of Surfing wraps up this weekend in Huntington Beach for the 20th consecutive year. The event is part of the city’s year-long celebration of 100 Years of Surfing.
Marine biologists say this is a go time to go whale watching. The rare Bryde’s whale has been spotted in our area along with endangered Blue whales. Harbor Breeze Cruises and Aquarium of the Pacific experts invite the public to three-hour whale watch excursions and then learn more about whale communication at the aquarium’s interactive Whales: Voices in the Sea exhibit.
