A 2.7-magnitude earthquake struck Agoura Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014. (Credit: USGS)

A 2.7-magnitude earthquake struck Agoura early Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake had a depth of 1.7 miles and hit at 6:10 a.m.

The epicenter was about four miles from Malibu Beach and Agoura Hills.

It was not immediately known if the quake caused damage.
