A 23-year-old female driver was arrested after she allegedly slammed into her ex-boyfriend’s car before running over his new girlfriend in the Oak Park neighborhood of San Diego, police said Saturday.

The incident began about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 3400 block of College Avenue (map) when the woman saw the couple together in her ex-boyfriend’s car, according to the San Diego Police Department’s Watch Commander’s Log.

The woman allegedly rammed into the back of the vehicle, prompting the 26-year-old man to stop his car in front of a nearby Kohl’s.

While she continued to slam the vehicle, the girlfriend got out of the car, the log stated. The female driver then allegedly ran her over and fled the scene, according to police.

She was taken to a hospital where she was being treated.
