Falconer Fred Seaman joined us live with 2 falcons to talk about how falcons are used to protect wine grape crops.
September marks the beginning of harvest season at vineyards in Southern California and throughout the state.
One of the biggest threats to the grapes at this time of year are Starling birds, which swarm over the vines and eat the grapes.
Seaman talked about how the falcons scare away these birds naturally/sustainably without harming them or the grapes.
