A man in his 20s was shot and killed early Sunday morning at a bus stop in Koreatown, police said.

The unidentified victim was one of several people waiting at the bus stop, on the northwest corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue (map), about 1:07 a.m. when he was approached by two men, said Lt. Kelly Arnett of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Words were exchanged and one of the approaching men opened fire, killing the man at the scene, Arnett said.

The two men, described only as Hispanic, fled and remained at large. No active search was underway, police said.
