It happened at 8:10 p.m. near the intersection of Terra Bella Street and Cayuga Avenue, according to Sgt. Randy Modrell with the Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Traffic Division.

A dark-colored SUV was traveling eastbound on Terra Bella Street when it struck the victim, Modrell said.
