A man who was shot and wounded Friday at a home in Pomona may have been specifically targeted, authorities said.

Officers responded shortly before 5 p.m. to the 200 block of West Willow Street (map), where they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the Pomona Police Departments said in a news release.

The man, whose name was not released, was treated at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel before being airlifted to County-USC Medical Center in critical condition.

The motive for the shooting was unknown, but the “at this point detectives do not believe it was a random act,” the release said.
