A woman with the last name of Crook was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary Friday after she allegedly stole ladies undergarments from a Kohl’s department store in Alhambra, police said.
Josephine Crook was accused of concealing the items in an empty purse and failing to pay for them, according to an Alhambra Police Department Facebook post.
The 49-year-old woman was taken into custody around 7: 15 p.m. and booked at the Alhambra Police Department, Los Angeles County inmate records showed.
Crook’s bail was set at $20,000, according to inmate records.
She was scheduled to make her first court appearance on Wednesday at the Alhambra Municipal Court.
