O.C. Authorities Ask for Help in Finding Missing Elderly Couple With ‘Cognitive Issues’

The search continued Sunday for a missing elderly couple who suffer from "cognitive issues" and were last known to be at their Laguna Woods home on Friday morning, authorities said.

Carl and Theresa Tarantino are believed to have driven away from their residence in their car, a purple-black four-door 1998 Honda Accord with license plate No. 5GMB136, the Orange County Sheriff's Department said in a statement Saturday.

The married couple do not own cellphones, sheriff's officials said.

Carl Tarantino is described as white, 83 years old, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 140 pounds, bald, with blue eyes, and possibly wearing a green checkered shirt or green sweater.

No description of Theresa Tarantino was given. However, a photo of the couple was released.
