The pursuit began around 1 a.m. near Central Avenue and the 134 Freeway and ended near South Brand Boulevard and West Los Feliz Road (map) at an unknown time, Sgt. Warren Holmes said.

Two people in the pursued vehicle attempted to flee the area after crashing into a second vehicle, but one of the two were quickly apprehended, Holmes said. He suffered minor scrapes to his head and face and was hospitalized.

The extent of the victim's injuries was unknown. He was also hospitalized.

A "large" perimeter, with the aid of police K-9's and officials from the Los Angeles Police Department and Burbank Police Department, was then established.

Police apprehended the second man, believed to be the vehicle's driver, around 3:30 a.m., Glendale PD Lt. Lola Abrahamian said.
