Cincinnati Freeway Overpass Collapses; at Least One Dead

A construction worker was killed and the driver of a big rig was injured Monday night when a portion of an overpass on Interstate 75 collapsed in Cincinnati, according to a tweet from the city’s fire department.

It happened on the south I-75, which Cincinnati fire officials described as the old northbound off-ramp to Hopple Street.

The bridge that collapsed was undergoing demotion, according to the Cincinnati Fire Department.
