Magnitude-3.5 Earthquake Strikes Near Lancaster

Some residents were jolted awake early Tuesday after a magnitude-3.5 earthquake struck the Antelope Valley area.

The quake hit at approximately 12:16 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was centered approximately 9 miles north northwest of Green Valley and 18 miles west northwest of Lancaster, USGS reported.

The shaking was felt as far south as Los Angeles, a USGS map showed.

No injuries or damages were immediately reported.
