Gayle Anderson was live in Torrance to learn about a non-invasive procedure for fat reduction and sculpting of your torso, thighs and arms available at the offices of Dr. David M. Duffy, M.D.

Patients can lose 2 to 4 inches after a 6-week course of treatments with VANQUISH, a focused field radio-frequency device that destroys fat cells without harming the surface of the skin or underlying tissues. Treatments are comfortable and require no anesthetic.

VANQUISH works by delivering heat energy to the fatty layer, causing the destruction of up to 60% of the fat cells through a process that doctors refer to as apoptosis. Fat cells are then further broken down by the body, filtered by the lymphatic system, metabolized and then eliminated through urine.

This device is designed for sculpting and reducing the problem areas that diet and exercise don’t seem to effect: tummy, love handles, the back bulges below where the bra sits, saddle bags, inner thighs and upper thighs. There is no downtime and no risk of scarring, infection or clots. Patients have noticed some transient redness and puffiness immediately following a treatment.

***PLEASE NOTE: This procedure is recommended for adults over 21 who are within 20 lbs. of their ideal body weight. Fat cells do not regenerate, but new ones can form so you must mind your diet and exercise to stay trim. It is not a cure for large amounts of fat or obesity per se, but is considered a great alternative to liposuction.***

Dr. Duffy’s office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Self parking is available and validated.
