Santa Ana police asked for help Friday identifying two male robbers, one of whom donned a wrestling mask, to hold a liquor store clerk at gunpoint and steal from the register.

The incident occurred about 7:30 p.m. Monday at Arthur’s Liquor store at 3535 S. Fairview St. (map), police said.

Surveillance video released Friday showed the two men approach the cashier at the counter, with one gloved and masked man pointing a gun in her face while he reached into the register.

The two men run out of the store, another angle shows.

The video was dated Sunday, Feb. 8; it was not immediately clear if the date was incorrect or why it conflicted with the date given by police.

One man was described as being 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, 175 pounds and 220 pounds, with a heavy build. He was armed with a revolver, according to a news release from the Santa Ana Police Department.

The other man was described as being between 18 and 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, 180 pounds and 220 pounds, with a medium build.

Anyone with information was asked to call robbery Detective Andy Garcia at 714-245-8408 or Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
