2 in Custody After LAPD Pursuit on Surface Streets in San Fernando Valley

Two people were taken into custody after Los Angeles police pursued a driver on surface streets in the San Fernando Valley on Wednesday afternoon, aerial video showed.

Several black-and-white LAPD patrol cars could be seen trailing a black Lexus sedan through surface streets, Sky5’s aerial video showed about 4:30 p.m.

The sedan pulled over about 4:40 p.m. and a young man got out of the driver’s seat while patrol vehicles and armed officers surrounded him.

Then a young woman exited and slowly made her way to the pavement as well.

The two people were taken into custody in the 8700 block of Woodley Avenue in North Hills, video from Sky5 showed.

The incident or case that prompted the pursuit was not immediately known.
