Microsoft’s Surface device continues to evolve. What started out as an expensive mix of tablet and computer is now cheaper than ever.

The new model, simply called Surface 3, is about the price of an iPad, but lets you do so much more. While you can run just about any Windows desktop app on this device, the achilles heel of surface has always been the availability of really good tablet specific apps like the iPad has.
