Woman Is Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Koreatown; Driver Stopped at the Scene

A woman died Sunday after being struck by a vehicle in Koreatown, according to officials.

The woman was fatally struck near Manhattan Place and West Fifth Street (map), Los Angeles Police Department Officer J. Twycross said.

The Los Angeles Fire Department initially tweeted that the woman was 75 years old, but Twycross later said she was in her 60s.

The incident occurred before 9:48 p.m., when it was first reported by the fire department.

The driver stopped at the scene and was cooperating with officers, Twycross said.
